The Curtiss Hawk series represents some of the most iconic American fighter aircraft from the interwar period and early World War II. Known for their rugged design, fixed landing gear, and open cockpits, aircraft like the P-6E and its contemporaries were the last of the U.S. Army biplane fighters before the transition to monoplanes. With their sleek lines and colourful squadron markings, they were as much showpieces as they were war machines.
