SPAD XIII – #1816 35″ Wingspan
Here is a beautiful model of the SPAD XIII, designed by Pat Tritle. Designed to use stock off the shelf flying hardware for easy affordable flight.
A brief history of the model:
The SPAD XIII was a formidable French fighter introduced in 1917 and flown by many Allied aces during World War I, including America’s top ace, Eddie Rickenbacker. With a powerful Hispano-Suiza engine and rugged construction, it combined speed and durability, making it one of the most respected aircraft of the war. Its robust performance and clean lines cemented its place as a late-war legend in aerial combat.
