FMS has long been dedicated to enabling pilots of all skill levels to enjoy the excitement of flight. Innovation is truly in our DNA. That is why FMS is proud to introduce the 850mm Ranger. Like its larger sibling, this high-wing airframe with tricycle landing gear is naturally stable and easy to fly. A dedicated flight controller paired with a GPS system allows pilots to choose between beginner, intermediate and fully manual flight modes. The addition of a flight perimeter function and return-to-home capability ensures exceptional reliability and peace of mind. Flying has never been so simple.

Flight perimeter fence function: If the aircraft exceeds a distance of 120 metres from the pilot, it will automatically return to the home point. The pilot can take back control at any time. Once above the home location, the aircraft will circle at an altitude of 25 metres at approximately 40 km/h.

Return-to-home function: If the pilot loses orientation, the return-to-home feature can be activated, prompting the aircraft to return automatically. As with the flight perimeter function, the pilot may override the system at any time. Once above the home point, the Ranger 850 will continue to circle until further input is given.

Absolute beginners rejoice. The FMS 850mm Ranger includes everything needed to get into the air. A 12A ESC and receiver combo minimises cable connections, while a 2315-3850KV motor, 7.4V 850mAh 25C battery and four 1.9g micro servos deliver excellent performance for the lightweight 305g aircraft. It is perfectly suited for small parks, basketball courts or even back gardens.

Reflex system overview: The exclusive Reflex stabilisation system allows pilots to fly under beginner, intermediate and manual flight modes. In Stabilised Mode, control surface travel is limited for tame flight characteristics, and an emergency recovery function can activate if control is lost. In Optimised Mode, the system reduces the effects of environmental conditions, allowing the pilot to maintain control while compensating for sudden attitude changes caused by wind gusts. In OFF Mode, the Reflex system is disabled, giving the pilot full manual control and unlimited roll movement, ideal for building advanced flying skills.
