Two Allied fighters took on the Luftwaffe over the fields, towns and villages of southern England back in the summer of 1940, one accounted for 60% of the RAF’s air victories, the other was the Spitfire. Of course, both were exemplary machines in their own way indeed pilots who converted from the earlier Hawker Hart (biplane) to the new Hurricane loved it for not only did it posses all the qualities of its stable and secure predecessor, it offered livelier controls, added precision and enhanced performance.

With its 90 plus laser cut parts the Dumas Hurricane is a delightfully accurate model of the famous Battle of Britain fighter, a condition that usually indicates a tricky build. Not so here, indeed beginners will be astonished by the ease of construction, while experienced modellers will appreciate the quality materials, the comprehensive plan and the precision nature of the assembly. Spanning 30″ and sporting a generous wing area, this one was born to fly.

A brief history of the model:
The Hawker Hurricane was the unsung hero of the Battle of Britain, responsible for more than half of the RAF’s air victories during that critical campaign in 1940. Although often overshadowed by the more glamorous Spitfire, the Hurricane’s rugged construction, stable flight characteristics, and forgiving handling made it a favourite among pilotsespecially those transitioning from earlier biplanes like the Hawker Hart. Its fabric-covered rear fuselage and wide-track landing gear contributed to its resilience and reliability in combat.
