DETAILS

Designed with the sport flyer in mind, the Classic Ugly Stick 71 is a kit that’s easy to assemble and great fun to fly. The airframe is conventionally constructed from quality laser-cut balsa and ply with an emphasis on retaining maximum strength while keeping the overall weight low. Since many of the parts are self-jigging, assembly is a joy, the result being a model that’s built straight and performs beautifully. Flying the Classic Ugly Stick is a treat. With reduced control throws it makes a great aileron trainer, increase the movements and it’s capable of a wide range of aerobatics and, accordingly, never fails to satisfy. Suitable for 10 – 15cc engines (or equivalent electric propulsion) the kit includes a complete wood and hardware set, a full-size plan, trike and tail dragger undercarriage options (and parts) plus i.c. and EP options and hardware.
