We at Dumas are pleased to take you back to an era of elegance. In 1946, Sparkman & Stephens designed a 66 ft. commuter boat for the express purpose of carrying commuters down the Hudson River into New York. What a glorious way to beat the traffic! These boats were used by their owners for daily transportation to and from work, as well as for pleasure trips to their favourite spots. The most famous of these commuters was the Dauntless, owned by a prominent New York family. They undoubtedly considered her a welcome diversion from their day-to-day business dealings. The days of the Dauntless are gone, but you can bring them back. The Dauntless kit features top-quality construction materials and is made almost entirely of 1/8 in. poplar plywood. All parts are cleanly Die cut, and the kit includes a variety of detail components, including 38 cast metal fittings. The generous size of the Dauntless allows for multiple powering options, including scale electric, high-speed electric, or twin gas power. Use running hardware kit #2341 for all twin-screw, twin-power configurations.
