A brief history of the model:
The de Havilland DHC-1 Chipmunk was developed in the late 1940s as a replacement for the famed Tiger Moth trainer. It became the RAF’s primary trainer for several decades and was widely adopted by air forces and civilian flying schools around the world. With its low-wing monoplane design, enclosed cockpit, and improved handling, the Chipmunk offered a modern training experience while retaining the forgiving flight qualities needed for student pilots.
