The Dornier Do 335 “Pfeil” (Arrow) was one of the most advanced piston-engine fighters developed by Germany during World War II. Featuring a unique push-pull twin-engine configurationone in the nose and one in the tailthe Do 335 achieved exceptional speed and climb performance, making it the fastest piston-powered aircraft fielded by the Luftwaffe. However, it arrived too late in the war to see widespread combat use.
