A brief history of the model:
The Vought F4U Corsair was one of the most formidable carrier-based fighters of World War II, instantly recognisable by its distinctive inverted gull wings and powerful radial engine. First flown in 1940, the Corsair earned the nickname “Whistling Death” for the sound it made in a dive and was highly respected by both Allied and Axis pilots. Known for its speed, ruggedness, and heavy armament, it served not only with the U.S. Navy and Marines but also in later conflicts like the Korean War.
