A brief history of the model:
The Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat was the last piston-engine fighter produced for the U.S. Navy and one of the fastest ever built. Entering service near the end of World War II, the Bearcat was designed for rapid climb rates, agility, and carrier suitability, making it a formidable interceptor. Though it arrived too late to see combat in WWII, it became a favourite among postwar naval aviators and air racers thanks to its raw power and sleek design.
