The KA8B is a beautifully presented 3-metre (118″) semi-scale glider that delivers smooth, stable soaring performance with authentic vintage style. Built from lightweight balsa, plywood, and veneer, this ARTF model offers a strong yet refined airframe, perfect for thermal flying and slope soaring.

With its high-wing layout, long tail moment, and gentle handling, the KA8B is ideal for intermediate to advanced pilots. The model comes mostly factory-assembled with pre-hinged surfaces and pre-installed pushrods. Functional airbrakes, an authentic canopy, and scale outline give it classic character in the air and on the ground. About the original:
The Schleicher KA8B is a German single-seat glider developed in the 1950s for club and training use. Known for its forgiving flight behaviour and excellent thermal performance, it quickly became a favourite among gliding clubs worldwide. With its distinctive open cockpit and traditional construction, the KA8B remains a much-loved classic in soaring history.
