About the original:
The Piper L-4 Grasshopper was a military adaptation of the popular Piper Cub, used extensively during World War II for reconnaissance, artillery spotting, and liaison duties. Known for its reliability and STOL (short take-off and landing) capabilities, the L-4 proved invaluable in frontline operations and remains a beloved classic in aviation history.
