A brief history of the model:
The Ryan Mail Transport is a tribute to the pioneering era of American aviation when aircraft began replacing trains for rapid mail delivery. Based on designs similar to the Ryan M-1 and M-2early monoplanes built in the 1920sthese rugged, high-wing aircraft were the forerunners to the famous Ryan NYP “Spirit of St. Louis.” Their role in establishing reliable airmail routes helped shape the foundation of modern commercial aviation.
